Corporate Affairs

A company or LLP is a set of promises made to the Registrar: annual accounts, annual returns, director details, registers kept up to date. Our Corporate Affairs desk sets the entity up correctly and keeps every one of those promises on time.

Questions

Common questions

How long does incorporation take?
Usually two to three weeks from complete documents. Name approval is the step that varies most, so we suggest two or three names.
Our company has not filed for two years. Can it be fixed?
Usually, yes. We file the pending forms with the additional fees and set up a calendar so it does not happen again. If the business has stopped, closing the company may cost less.
Do we need a company secretary?
Smaller private companies are not required to employ a full-time company secretary. We handle the routine secretarial work, and arrange a practising company secretary where the law requires a certification.
Who audits the company's accounts?
A practising chartered accountant appointed by the shareholders. We prepare the accounts and coordinate with your auditor.
